The areas that are Forestfield Managements responsibility are maintained under contract by Eric Paine and has been so for the past 10 years. It should be noted that weeding of flower beds does not fall under the control of Eric due to the time consuming nature of this task.
We also have the helpful Gareth who helps with gardening on the estate.
The grass areas and flower beds and the condition of them are what makes this estate different to other parts of Crawley. Everyone will agree that these are maintained to a very high standard and not only make this a more pleasant place to live but also adds value to our properties.
Many residents actively tend the flower beds adjacent to their homes and assist in removing weeds in and around these beds and by removing weeds and moss on the paths and steps outside their homes. Apart from greatly improving appearance it also reduces the cost to all of us by not having to pay for additional contractors.
Designated as a conservation estate because they are areas of special architectural or historic interest which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.
Please see seperate page dedicated to conservation information.
Forestfield Committee are keen on bringing nature into our communal gardens for all to enjoy.
We have made a push on planting wildlife friendly plants and also getting our young residents to join in on decorating bird boxes to be placed around the estate in 2022.
